LEGO® descripts the set 9632 - Science and Technology Base Set as follows:
The Mechanisms Set presents students with 12 different models that are designed to be built by teams of two. Teamwork is essential with the Mechanisms Set, as two building guides for each model are included – one for student A and one for student B. Each student assembles part of the model, and then the two parts are joined to complete the building aspects of the project. The models demonstrate various physical science and technology concepts, including forces and motion, simple machines, measurement, energy, and more. The set contains 352 LEGO® Technic elements and building instructions for 12 models, all in a sturdy storage bin that includes a sorting tray. The set is appropriate for 4th grade and up.
